Hope began her journey into the world of animal love and rescue when she began working with Aussie Rescue in Pinellas County.
Hope moved across the bridge with her Aussie (Ms. Cassie) to Tampa. Her next animal friend would be a beautful Greghound named Dylan. He was adopted from The Greyhound Gang of Florida.
Fostering was next, which led to fundraiser's at their home. Next came Brando the Chihuahua mix courtesy of Lost Angels. Today the three babies live together in harmony. It only takes one look into their eyes to remind her of why she had to start Animal Based Charities.
Four-footed angels have blessed Cheryl's life --- Holly the Christmas-gift Miniature Schnauzer rescued because of her unacceptable white coat. then Charlie - the adopted Easter Bunny, Rusty - the Irish Setter with one rib missing, Corky, Klondike and Clementine - all three Golden Retrievers and guardians of the family, with Woody and Siam - the stray cats that came to be the true watch-dogs of the household.

As a past advocate for Southeast Guide Dogs, and through placing many strays left on her doorstep into loving homes, Cheryl is dedicated to the mission of helping four-footed angels live happy and healthy lives. With Faith in the mission of St. Francis of Assisi, together with Hope Median, they formed Animal Based Charities, Inc.,
Cheryl's personal mission is to further Charity-based support for our life-companions and those organizations that can help them.
